According to an article on NJ.com, Bowman was found dead in his home over the weekend. Police are still investigating and no arrests have been made.
Bowman overcame a troubled youth to become a fixture in his community, working with the Youth to Youth program, the Tri-County Community Action Partnership, and the city police. He was elected to the Bridgeton Board of Education in 2008. He served as vice president and president of the Bridgeton Main Street Association’s Board of Directors, and was inducted into the Cumberland County Black Hall of Fame in 2007.
