Making Positive Behavior Fun

From day one of the school year, students came to Central Elementary wanting to behave.

What’s the secret? Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)—and a great incentive to make kids want to do their best. Central Elementary is one of 13 schools in Rockingham County that has dedicated a special day of fun for students who use positive behaviors. Activities include Wii games, face painting, and bingo.

Much more than an incident report system, the program helps busy teachers run more efficient, effective classrooms.
